People's Cable Group Supports Successful Power Energization of Nanchang Metro Line 1 North Extension Project

The North Extension Project of Nanchang Rail Transit Line 1 recently achieved full loop power energization. As one of the cable suppliers for this project, People's Cable Group provided over 300 kilometers of various cable types, including 35kV medium-voltage power cables, DC traction cables, and control cables.

Addressing the challenges of confined tunnel spaces, high humidity environments, and stringent fire safety requirements, the company's technical team implemented special optimizations to cable structures: the medium-voltage cables feature a dual moisture-proof design with waterproof layer and water-blocking yarn; all low-voltage cables utilize low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant materials to minimize smoke toxicity in case of fire.

"Metro projects demand extremely high cable reliability," stated the Group's Quality Director. "Every meter of cable leaving our factory undergoes 12 testing procedures including partial discharge testing, voltage withstand testing, and insulation resistance testing." The company's products have now been applied in metro lines across multiple Chinese cities including Nanchang, Hangzhou, and Qingdao.
