The R&D Center of People's Cable Group announced that its cold-resistant torsion cables, specially designed for wind turbine generators, have successfully passed -45°C low-temperature torsion tests conducted by a third-party testing institution.

The product features specially formulated cold-resistant TPU sheath material and a flexible conductor structure. After 3,000 consecutive torsion cycles at -45°C, the insulation layer showed no cracking and the conductor remained intact, with electrical performance remaining stable. This fully meets the requirements for extreme winter climate conditions in northern China and high-altitude wind farms.
As the wind power industry expands into mid-to-high altitude regions and the "Three Norths" (Northeast, North, and Northwest China), the issue of low-temperature embrittlement in conventional cables has become increasingly prominent. This technological breakthrough enables the company to provide a full range of cold-resistant cables for onshore wind power projects. The company has already reached cooperation with three wind turbine manufacturers.
